We inspect and assess your rug for urine stains and odours on arrival. If detected we will contact you with a free, no obligation quote for our specialised treatment. This is an additional charge on top of the cleaning cost for your rug.
In desperation, customers may use a chemical or detergent-based rug stain remover to try to remove the urine before seeking a professional product or cleaning service. These chemicals and detergents can sometimes remove the soluble urea and urochrome components of urine. However, they will have no impact on the non-soluble uric acid crystals. These crystals embed themselves in the rug fibres and are difficult to dislodge. These chemicals and detergents also coat or encapsulate the uric acid crystals making it difficult for urine treatment to penetrate.
Pet Odour Removal
Urine stains and incorrectly removed urine stains have greater exposure to the urine and the acidity of the uric acid crystals. Unfortunately in some rugs, especially wool blends, the uric acid crystals can cause burn marks that look like a stain but have actually discoloured the rug.
Please note this is irreversible. Our urine treatment will remove urine and in turn the urine smell, but cannot remove burn marks.
Our urine treatment is water-based, contains no harsh or hazardous ingredients, is biodegradable and environmentally friendly. They are safe to use around both humans and animals.
We will do our best to remove urine stains and odours using our neutralising and deodorising treatments. But we cannot guarantee that they will be removed completely.
